The 2017 Lincoln MKZ

The 2017 Lincoln MKZ features standard adaptive headlights that turn corners with you, so you can see what’s ahead. But, more impressively, the MKZ’s lighting adapts to you, too. As you approach your Lincoln, a welcome mat is projected on the ground, complemented by the rest of the MKZ’s signature lighting accents coming to life. It’s a subtle touch that sets you up for a sophisticated and refined drive. But the MKZ also isn’t afraid to show its teeth. The one-piece signature grille and angled Lincoln badge betray a little haughtiness and flair.

The standard 2.0L GTDI I-4 engine delivers 245 horsepower. But the most impressive thing about the MKZ is how it controls that power to remain quietly comfortable. Electric Power-Assisted Steering alters the crank ratio in response to the MKZ’s speed. In English, that means you’ll need to turn the steering wheel fewer times in the parking lot, while adjustments on the highway become subtle. Finally, Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) smooths out even the most pothole-ridden roads in Saskatchewan. CCD scans the road every two milliseconds and relays information to the shock absorbers. If there is a bump approaching your left tire, the right side compensates and minimizes the impact for the driver and passengers.

Comfort is Standard

10-Way Heated Power Front Seats are standard. Trimmed with Bridge of Weir leather. Further, with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), they won’t even be able to hear the sound of the road. ANC emits waves to cancel those coming from the engine and road. As a result, you’ll only be able to hear the sound of the available 20-speaker Revel Ultima Audio System. The Lincoln exclusive system features speakers situated in custom housing in the doors. Per Lincoln, it’s “a sound experience that brings every note to life.”

The 2017 Lincoln MKZ is a refined and athletic sedan. Although it’s trimmer than the Continental, Lincoln have cut very few of its remarkable standard features. Moreover, with its price, the MKZ is guaranteed to trouble the likes of foreign luxury brands like BMW and Audi.
